The World Of Warcract expansion, titled “Wrath of the Lich King”, is an extremely large expansion. The new content provides an upgrade on the level cap, and new expensive items that most players will not have enough gold to come close to helping them purchase it all.
There are some well known and respected gold guides for Azeroth and the Outlands, but Northrend is a newer zone altogether. Here are some tips that are designed to help you raise the amount of gold you have so you don’t feel like the broke loser in your guild. Note, these are only a few tips of many that are included in the “Gold Secrets” guide. 1. Have Plenty Of Storage Space
One of the best investments you can make in the game, is large bags. How many times have you had to take time out from questing or running an intance, to empty your bags? How many great items have you had to destroy because you didn’t have enough space for them?
Prevent this catastrophe by buying the largest bags you can afford, and don’t hesitate to upgrade your bags as you go! As you work your way up to Level 80, the less time you have to spend travelling, and the more items you can carry, the higher your gold per hour earnings will be.
2. The Right Professions
As with the previous expansion, profession items will be highly sought after. This means you should get your gathering level up. This can be herbalism, mining, skinning, etc. The point here is to sell the pick axe to the gold miners. Rather, the copper to the blacksmith. It is no surprise that many players pay a premium to level up their skills. Why not capitalise on their efforts by simply providing them with what they need
3. Found And Auctioned Items
Remember that ‘Bind on Equip’ items are always in high demand. Mostly because people want to have an easier time leveling, questing, or even PVPing. Not to mention that everyone wants to be ’special’ and that means having really good gear. Make sure you have all of your BoE items ready to put on the auction at the perfect moment to corner the market and maximise profits. Auctioning for profit is a bit off topic for the moment and warrants it’s own guide entirely, so it will not be delved into here. But know that the auction house is one of the easiest and fastest ways to make gold. You can find plenty of details on auctioning in the gold guide listed to the right (banner).
These are just some of the most basic tips, but they also tend to be some of the strongest and most useful. Not to mention some of the most overlooked. The thing to remember here, if it works, work it. The basics work and you just have to do them. However, there are MANY amazing tricks to making HUGE amounts of gold, and you can get them RISK FREE!
